A TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER
Chief (Pastor) R. A. Shittu
With a heart full of gratitude to God, I celebrate the life of my father—a man who truly lived, impacted, and fulfilled purpose.
Dad was more than a father; he was a pillar, a guide, and a voice of wisdom. He walked this earth with courage, faith, and an uncommon strength. One thing that defined him deeply was his fearlessness—even in the face of death. He understood life from God’s perspective and lived each day with that conviction.
As a Chief and a Pastor, he carried both honor and humility with grace. He served God faithfully and led people with truth. His life was not just about words, but about impact—real, visible, lasting impact. He touched lives, shaped destinies, and left a mark that time cannot erase.
To me, he was simply Dad—my teacher, my covering, my constant source of prayers. One prayer he always spoke over my life still echoes in my heart: “Through your hands, the world and people will be blessed, and destinies will be changed.” That is a mantle I will carry for the rest of my life.
Though his passing has been heavy, I find peace in knowing that he lived well, finished strong, and has gone to be with the Lord. We are not mourning a life cut short, but celebrating a life fulfilled.
Dad, your legacy lives on. In your children, in your works, and in every life you touched.
Until we meet again… rest well.
Your son.
